iUniverse Renews Partnership with Authors Guild

Posted on October 24, 2003

iUniverse announced that it has renewed its agreement to provide on-demand publishing services to members of the Authors Guild, an organization of published authors. iUniverse supports the Authors Guild's Backinprint.com program for members with out-of-print books that they want to republish.

"iUniverse provides an important opportunity for authors with out-of-print books to reconnect with their audience," says Paul Aiken, Authors Guild Executive Director. "And it's paid off. Over the last two years, Authors Guild members have received more than $200,000 in royalties for reissued books."

Some of the features available through iUniverse at no cost to Authors Guild members includes all works published as trade paperback print-on-demand books; custom color cover created by professional book designers; unique ISBN number, inclusion in Bowker's Books In Print; and listing in online online and retail booksellers, including Barnes & Noble.com and Amazon.com.

"We're honored to maintain our commitment with the Authors Guild," says iUniverse President and CEO Susan Driscoll. "Our relationships with leading author organizations validate iUniverse as a mainstream publishing option for authors in a variety of genres and disciplines."
