Jackie Collins to Adapt Her Latest Novel for Film

Posted on February 14, 2014

Bestselling author Jackie Collins will adapt her latest novel, Confessions of a Wild Child, for film in a deal with Amber Entertainment. The novel arrived in bookstores earlier this month. Variety reports that Jackie will also produce with Amber Entertainment's Ileen Maisel. She also worked with Amber Entertainment during the production of the film, Paris Connections.

Confessions of a Wild Child is a prequel to Jackie's popular Santangelo novels. It follows Lucky Santangelo during her teen years, which included boys, drugs and family dramas. Lucky also goes on many adventures from Greek islands to Vegas penthouses.

Collins said in a statement, "I am thrilled to be bringing Lucky Santangelo to the bigscreen. She's a kick-ass female, and we need more of those!"

This will not be the first screenplay by Jackie Collins. She also has screenwriting credits on The Stud, The World Is Full of Married Men, Yesterday's Hero and several teleplays.
