James Patterson Hits #1 Simultaneously on Adult, Children's New York Times Bestseller Lists

Posted on July 11, 2011

Prolific author James Patterson has hit #1 simultaneously on two different New York Times Bestseller Lists. Now You See Her by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge is #1 on the New York Times Hardcover Fiction List and Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts is #1 on the Children’s Chapter Book Bestseller List for the week of July 17, 2011.

The books were both published on June 27, 2011. It was a rare dual laydown of two new books by the same writer on the same day.

James Patterson said in a statement, "This milestone is particularly sweet because it suggests to me that our dual laydown was a success in the most positive sense: adults and children across the country are reading. I hope that these two books bring parents and kids closer together as they find a shared love in discovering stories they just can't put down."
