Legendary NFL quarterback Joe Montana is the Editor-In-Chief of In The Redzone, a new monthly football magazine. In The Redzone is a lifestyle and football magazine published by Eugene R. Boffa Jr. and distributed by Hearst Distribution Group. In The RedZone kicks off January 3, and will be available at newsstands nationwide for $3.95. In its inaugural year, it will be published ten times.

"I've played football my entire life and have some great experiences I will always cherish," said Montana. "In The RedZone is my opportunity to give something back to the fans and share some of this insight. We have assembled an all-star editorial team to make that happen."

In addition to Montana, In The Redzone staff includes: Frank Cooney, the former editorial director for FOX Sports and the NFL on FOX Studio; Howard Balzer a sports journalist with more than 20 years of experience including former editor of Sporting News NFL Register; and Dick Draper who brings 36 years of journalism experience and numerous writing awards to the team.

Drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 1979 from Notre Dame, Montana led the team from the cellar to four Super Bowl titles, being named MVP in three of them. "Golden Joe" picked up two NFL MVP awards, was an eight-time All-Pro selection and is a member of the NFL's 75th Anniversary team. Montana is expected to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this July in Canton, Ohio.
