Kay Koplovitz Takes Helm of WorkingWomanNetwork

WorkingWomanNetwork, Inc. Founder and Chairman Jay MacDonald has named USA Networks Founder Kay Koplovitz Chief Executive Officer. Koplovitz joined WorkingWomanNetwork on November 16, 1999 as Chairman of the Board. Since then, she has taken over the Chief Executive Officer role from MacDonald who will now assume the role of Chairman.

Koplovitz founded and launched the company that became USA Networks. In 1992, Koplovitz launched the Sci-Fi Channel, which now operates channels in Latin America, Europe, Brazil and Southern Africa. In addition, she was recently appointed by President Clinton to chair the National Women's Business Council.

WorkingWomanNetwork is expected to launch in April as a multimedia portal for businesswomen online. WorkingWomanNetwork.com will focus on business solutions and e-commerce opportunities. Through its family of integrated businesses, including Working Woman and Working Mother magazines, MC2 conferences, the Businesswomen's Research Institute (BRI), the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), and MC3 Ventures, the WorkingWomanNetwork reaches more than 6 million women per month.
