Kelsey Media Announces BBC Antiques Roadshow Magazine

Posted on April 1, 2014

Kelsey Media has announced the launch of BBC Antiques Roadshow Magazine in the UK. The magazine will cost 3.99 pounds per issue. It will be sold at WHSmith stores, supermarkets and newsagents. The magazine is being published by Kelsey under licence from BBC Worldwide. Roadshow has become and international hit and gets about 6 million viewers.

The magazine is edited by Sue Herdman. She was previously the editor of National Trust Magazine.

Herdman says in a statement, "We've taken our inspiration from the TV programme format and, working closely with Roadshow specialists, have filled our pages with lively features that are bursting with information and top tips. The first issue carries Antiques Roadshow's Lisa Lloyd's definitive guide to success at auction, and a remarkable feature on the sleek 1930s time capsule that is The Homewood. This hidden house and its collection of outstanding and highly collectable pieces is one of Britain's best-kept secrets. For those with a love of all things vintage, we also tour the quirky Museum of Brands. And we'll have our monthly special behind-the-scenes section, devoted to the show, where we reveal more stories and valuations than will have been seen on screen. Our favourite for this, our launch issue, is the tale of a small boy, an unlikely kidnapping and an African mask."
