Posted on June 20, 2000

Knowledge Kids Network (KKN), a Knowledge Universe (KU) company offering products and services to children, families and teachers, has announced that it has partnered with children's literary publisher Cricket Magazine Group. The partnership will augment content for the company's first web-based project, called KidsEge, a network of websites for children. The network is scheduled to launch in late June.

As part of the agreement, Cricket, which specializes in magazines for children ages 2 and older, will provide age-appropriate stories and poetry to be featured in the kids' literature sections on KidsEdge. The stories will be drawn from Cricket magazines, including Cricket, Babybug, Ladybug, Spider, Muse and Click. Additionally, Cricket will supply monthly parenting articles to be featured on the parenting site within the network, called ParentsEdge.

Sarina Simon, president and chief executive officer of Knowledge Kids Network, says in the announcement, "Cricket has an excellent, well-deserved reputation among parents and teachers. It has a long history of producing extraordinary literary materials for children and has always stood for quality. We believe this makes Cricket a perfect fit with KidsEdge and its engaging learning environments.'

Note: The KidsEdge site is no longer available.
