Large Hadron Collider Pop-up Book Coming in August

A 3D pop-up book about the Large Hadron Collider will be released in August. The book, Voyage to the Heart of Matter: The ATLAS Experiment at CERN, will be available on August 16th. Wired reports that it took Emma Sanders and Anton Radevsky nearly two years to create the intricate pop-up book. The authors relied on guidance, photos and sketches from dozens of physicists to recreate the $9 billion science experiment in paper. Radevsky is the book's pop-up engineer and Emma Sanders is the head of Microcosm, CERN's museum of particle physics. It is an amazing looking pop-up book. Take a look:
