Latin American Internet Publication, i-biz, Celebrates Inaugural Issue

i-biz, a regional Internet publication published by AmericaEconomia, a Dow Jones & Company magazine, celebrated its inaugural issue on April 27, 2000 at Britto Central on Lincoln Road, South Beach with a special guest appearance from Wenceslao Casares, CEO of Patagon.com, an Internet financial destination in Latin America. Attending the inaugural celebration on behalf of the publication was Elias Selman, Co-founder and President of AmericaEconomia, Ricardo Zisis, Publisher of AmericaEconomia and i-biz, and Samuel Silva, the editor-in-chief of i-biz,.

``Latin America is the fastest growing region for the Internet and we can't afford to miss a beat,'' said Wenceslao Casares, CEO of Patagon.com at the cocktail reception held at Britto Central. ``We have to rely on resources that simplify and interpret the wealth of information produced, so that we can better follow this rapidly changing industry and make solid decisions to help us grow our business.''
