Los Angeles Times to Implement Paywall in March

The Wrap is reporting that the Los Angeles Times will implement a paywall starting March 5. The introductory rate for access to content behind the paywall will be 99 cents for one month. The eventual rate will climb to $3.99 a week. Print subscribers will be given free access to the digital version of the paper.
Gannett is also going with a paywall model for its newspapers. However, Gannett will continue free access for USA Today, its flagship paper.
The New York Times, Times of London, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Boston Globe are among newspapers currently operating paywalls.
