Macmillan Debuts Blog Called The Daily Reader

Posted on August 2, 2011

Macmillan has launched a new blog called The Daily Reader. The mission of the blog is to connect the dots between books and current events. A recent post on the blog covers the topic of the growth of soccer in the United States and then discusses related books on the subject.

The book is written by Amanda Hirsch, the former editorial director of PBS.org. Hirsch will write two long posts each week related to current news stories as well as shorter posts with book recommendations. The books mentioned will be books from all publishing houses, not just Macmillan's publishing companies.

Update: The Daily Reader site is no longer available.
