Magazines Celebrates Philanthropy in Communities of Color

Charity magazine is a new publication covering philanthropy in communities of color will be available later this year. Nonprofit professionals, donors, and volunteers represent the targeted audience for the website and the publication. Cathy Hughes, media pioneer and chairperson of Radio One, is the cover story for the inaugural issue. The magazine begins with a circulation of 100,000. The magazine features Perfect Bound construction and high quality paper cut to a non-standard sheet size. "It's important to us that our magazine be intelligent and beautiful," said publisher Joy Strickland.
