Manchester United's Darron Gibson Quits Twitter Two Hours After Joining

Posted on April 25, 2011

Manchester United's Darron Gibson did not give Twitter much of a try. The soccer star apparently closed the account after just two hours because he received a barrage of negative tweets.

The Guardian says Gibson closed the account after receiving a tweet that said, "nothing would make me happier than if we sold you this summer."

Two hours? Two hours is pretty short. Surely he could have tried to weather the storm for at least a day or two.
