First Lady Michelle Obama Guest Edits More Magazine

Posted on June 15, 2015

More magazine has a very impressive guest editor of its July/August 2015 issue. First Lady Michelle Obama guest edited the issue marking the first time a First Lady has guest edited the entire issue of a magazine. The magazine hits newsstands on June 23.

Michelle Obama said in a statement, "I am excited and honored to be guest editor of More this month and tell you a little bit about the issues I'm working on, as well as the extraordinary Americans I've had the privilege of meeting as First Lady."

The issue guest edited by Mrs. Obama is focused on the theme "More Impact." The issue encourages readers to have more impact on initiatives launched by the First Lady like Let's Move! and Let Girls Earn. It also encourages readers to share a photo of themselves on a social media site using the #MoreImpact hashtag.

More Editor-in-Chief Lesley Jane Seymour says in a statement, "The First Lady is the ultimate More woman. She is the perfect combination of passion, intelligence, beauty and glamour, and her gift for moving people to action is the reason I invited her to be our first-ever guest editor. After reading the issue, I hope our readers will be moved to make a difference of their own."
