Mike Magner Lands BP Book Deal

Posted on June 4, 2010

Publishers Weekly reports that journalist Mike Magner has landed a six figure book deal with St. Martin's Press for a book about British Petroleum. The book discusses BP and its links to pollution. The journalist's knowledge about BP is especially relevant because of the massive oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico.

All indications are that the BP oil spill will be a major ecological disaster for the Gulf of Mexico coast, and possibly for the U.S. east coast. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal says there is no life at all in the marshes in Louisiana anymore. A new computer model projects that an ocean current will take the oil up the east coast of the U.S. This will be far from the last book published about the BP oil disaster.
