MMG Sells Internet News Bureau to Internet.com

The Multimedia Marketing Group, Inc. announced that it has completed the sale of Internet News Bureau, to internet.com. Founded in 1995 by John Audette, president of MMG, Internet News Bureau distributes press releases via email to more than 3,000 journalists from major Internet and computer magazines, e-zines, e-mail newsletters, major daily newspapers, television and radio. Internet News Bureau's global coverage includes international distribution and language translation services.
Internet News Bureau has been run as a separate division of MMG, which creates Internet campaigns for major brands. Under the terms of the sale, Internet News Bureau will continue to be run from MMG headquarters in Bend, Oregon.
Audette says in a statement, "This is a confirmation of my vision four years ago when I launched Internet News Bureau from my Portland basement. I realized then that the Internet could be a tremendous distribution platform to journalists."
Renee Menius, editor of Internet News Bureau, says, "This deal will help us increase our reach and make our services even better for clients and journalists."
