Motley Fool And Simon & Schuster Sign Multi-Book Deal

The Motley Fool, a personal finance education company, has signed a new multi-book deal with Simon & Schuster. The new books will be written for a variety of audiences and will provide specific tools for people looking for help with their personal finances and investing. The deal was brokered by Suzanne Gluck of The William Morris Agency.
The first book, to be published in hardcover next spring under the Simon & Schuster imprint, will respond to the questions facing Americans in these challenging economic times. David and Tom Gardner, co-founders of The Motley Fool, prescribe what we can all do to make sure both our short and long-term strategies weather the current economic storm. In August 2002, a Motley Fool investment guide for teens will be published as a trade paperback original under the Fireside imprint. In the spring of 2003, a Motley Fool retirement book will be published as a Simon & Schuster hardcover. The remaining books, all to be published in trade paperback under the Fireside imprint, include an a personal finance workbook (spring 2003), and a revised edition of The Motley Fool Investment Workbook (January 2003).
