My Romance Introduces New Series of Audio Romance Novels Narrated by Soap Stars

Posted on June 9, 1999

My Romance has announced a new series of audio romance novels narrated exclusively by daytime television's hottest stars. The latest offering from the My Romance series is Moonlight, written by top-selling romance author, Suzanne Forster and narrated by Kim Zimmer and Robert Newman of The Guiding Light.

Drawing from the best of today's romantic fiction, each edition of My Romance includes two fully produced 90-minute audiocassettes, complete with music and an autographed color photograph of the cast. My Romance was created by Emmy Award-winning actor, Gregg Marx, who produces and directs the series.

Marx's interest in audio books began over a decade ago while starring as Tom Hughes on As The World Turns, when he conceived and co-produced a children's book on tape, casting his co-stars in key roles. Two years ago, he recognized the intimate connection between daytime television and romantic fiction, thus My Romance was born. "If you really think about it, the essence of daytime is, without question, romance. What started out as fairy tales for children, ended up as fairy tales for adults," says Marx.
