Neil Patrick Harris to Publish Memoir as a Choose Your Own Adventure

Emmy award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris will publish his memoir as a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style book through Crown Archetype. The book, Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography, will be released on October 14, 2014. The book cover says, "You are the star in N.P.H's life story!"

Choose Your Own Adventure was a popular series of books published by Bantam Books in the 1980s. The books are written in the second person and allow the reader to make decisions along the way that impact the plot of the book. In the N.P.H. autobiography, readers get to make decisions about how they want Neil's life to turn out.

The book's description says, "You will decide whether to try out for Doogie Howser, M.D. You will decide whether to spend years struggling with your sexuality. You will decide what kind of caviar you want to eat on board Elton John's yacht."
