New Gawker Design Moves Content to the Right
Posted on July 10, 2006
Gawker Media has implemented new designs at Gawker and Gizmodo. The new designs move the content to the right side of the page. Gawker publisher Nick Denton details a few of the other changes to these two blogs.
New regime, new design, at Gawker and Gizmodo - Bigger images, a flexible design that works on browser windows from 800 pixels to 1600 wide, cool ajaxy navigation between posts, and more to come. The links to other Gawker Media blogs no longer appears on Gawker.com and Gizmodo.com. That could be a mistake since it is logical for a blog network to include links to other blogs in the network. Gawker Media also has content on the right side of the page on several of the other blogs including Defamer and Lifehacker. Wonkette's content is still on the left. There is no consistency in the blogosphere when it comes to content alignment. You will find content both on the right and the left depending on the blog you are reading.
