New Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Released

Posted on November 22, 2004

The latest edition of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio has been released. The experts from the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, an independent consumer organization, rate the best (and worst) in children's toys, books, videos, music and software. The organization has also announced its platinum awards for 2005, which include some good suggestions for holiday toy gifts this year. And how do they come up with these top picks? "Products are considered on the basis of their age and developmental appropriateness, educational value, safety, long-term play value, and the ultimate test- the fun factor. We look for both innovative and appropriate uses of new technology as well as classic formats that every child should know - even if they weren't invented yesterday," said President and noted child development expert Joanne Oppenheim.
