Posted on March 30, 2014

Niche Media has announced plans to launch Austin Way in September 2014. The lifestyle magazine is a new magazine for Austin, Texas. Austin Way will be published six times a year and have a launch circulation of 50,000 copies. The launch announcement was made by Katherine Nicholls, president and COO of Niche Media.

Niche Media was inspired by Austin's growth to launch the new magazine. The publisher says in a statement, "Austin's growth has given rise to new luxury hotels and real estate development, acclaimed retail, cultural and nightlife venues as well as world-class events such as South by Southwest (SXSW), the Austin Film Festival, the Austin X Games, and the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix. Austin is a city in the international spotlight and is deemed one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, outpacing all other metropolitan cities in Texas. Austin Way looks forward to chronicling all that makes the city so dynamic."

Lou DeLone is the publisher of Austin Way. He joined Niche Media in July 2013. DeLone was previously launch publisher for Houstonia Magazine. DeLone has also held senior executive roles for Modern Luxury Dallas and The Atlantan.

Nicholls says in a statement, "We are beyond thrilled to be going to Austin, a market that has inspired the nation with its growth over the past several years. It is not only one of the fastest growing economies in the U.S., it has a unique consciousness, personality and sensibility that connects very directly to our company mission. We are excited to hire a local Austin based team who will join our Publisher Lou DeLone."
