Nicholas Sparks and Zac Efron Talk Film Adaptation of The Lucky One

In this featurette, bestselling author Nicholas Sparks talks about the film adaptation of his his book The Lucky One which stars Zac Efron, Blythe Danner and Taylor Schilling. Zac plays U.S. Marine Logan Thibault who survives several tours of duty in Iraq and has amazing luck after he finds a photo of a smiling woman on the battlefield. When his tour is over, he heads to North Carolina to find the woman in the photo.

Nicholas say it was a special novel for him to write. The protagonist is an unusual character for him to create. He is strong, silent and is driven to find this woman to thank her. He says the characters must overcome obstacles. He says it's a realistic portrayal of a romantic relationship. Zac talked about the pressure; when he got the role so many people told him it was their favorite book. The film opens in April, 2012. Take a look:
