President Obama Takes Daughters Shopping at an Independent Bookstore

President Barack Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha celebrated Small Business Saturday yesterday. They went on a shopping trip to Kramerbook & Afterwords Cafe in Washington, D.C. to buy some Christmas presents and support an independent bookstore which is only a few blocks from the White House.

The Obamas purchased the following books, according to The Hill: The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, Tails by Matthew Van Fleet, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever by Jeff Kinney, Zen Shorts by Jon Muth, The Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht, Descent into Chaos by Ahmed Rashid, and The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selnick.
