Posted on May 19, 2000

Ockham Technologies, the Atlanta-based pioneer in tools for sales management and creator of the salesmanagement.com destination website, has announced the acquisition of SalesDoctors Magazine, an online publication for sales tips and techniques. Under the acquisition, SalesDoctors Magazine will continue to offer its services while providing expertise and content to salesmanagement.com.

Led by Art and Donna Siegel SalesDoctors Magazine is an online weekly magazine with articles for sales professionals needing insight on ``how-to'' aspects of the sales process. Sales professionals use the site as a resource for identifying problems and applying remedies to the broken elements in their sales processes including closing deals, prospecting and overcoming sales objections.

Jim Triandiflou, president and CEO for Ockham Technologies, says in a statement, "Salesmanagement.com continues to bring together the brightest minds in sales management in one Web location. We've purchased SalesDoctors to both add to our competency in Web editing and publishing and to strengthen the value of our best practices content. Art and Donna Siegel were publishing on the Web before most people knew the Web existed. Their expertise and content fundamentally strengthens salesmanagement.com as the single source for the tools and information sales managers need to manage their sales force."

Salesmanagement provides content, benchmark data, best practices, threaded discussions, Ask the Expert chat boards and other resources to help sales management professionals stay competitive. The site also serves as a gateway to Ockham's Web-hosted software applications that assist sales management in activities such as setting and managing quotas, budgeting, hiring and aligning territories.

Siegel says, "This is good news for sales management professionals. Our expertise in Web editing and publishing combined with our relationships with the leading minds in the field of sales is a natural fit with salesmanagement.com. When we combine our highly targeted content with the powerful Web-native SalesRazor Series, salesmanagement.com will provide an invaluable one-stop resource for sales managers everywhere."
