Oscars 2006 and Three 6 Mafia

The Oscars clocked in at 3 1/2 hours, just what producer Gil Cates said they would. Jon Stewart did an excellent job: his jokes were funny, his demeanor was perfect and we really hope that he gets asked back next year.

And for those of you taking notes for future Oscar trivia games: the members of rap group Three 6 Mafia now go down in history as the first people to accept an Oscar (for Best Song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp") while wearing gold grills on their teeth. Jordan "Juicy J" Houston told reporters backstage that they did not swear during their performance. "We changed the lyrics up completely," the rapper said. "My mom was watching. I didn't want to say any cuss words."
