Paramount Negotiating for Rights to Daughter of Smoke and Bone

Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures is negotiating to acquire the film rights to the young adult novel, Daughter Of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.

The book was published this past September by Little, Brown follows a teenage art student who is periodically recalled home by her inhuman father to collect human teeth for some undisclosed purpose. On one such journey she meets an angel and discovers a world of adventure and the truth about her family. Deadline says the rights will go for around $700,000. The book had amazing reviews and seems well-suited for a film adaptation.
