PC Week Changes Name to eWeek

PC Week is changing its name to eWeek. The change marks the final step in a process that has seen the publication build its editorial structure, circulation and sales to become a resource for companies undertaking e-commerce and Internet-based business initiatives. The name change is scheduled for the May 8, 2000, issue and coincides with a redesign of the publication by Roger Black Consulting. The name change includes all of PC Week's editorial operations including online, webcast and seminars.

``We undertook the mission to be the publication to guide companies in making the best technology selections for building their Internet-based computing and communication infrastructures. We've reached that goal and are changing the publication's name to reflect that accomplishment,'' said Eric Lundquist, eWeek's editor-in-chief.

Last year the publication began restructuring its reporting and editing beats to cover the technologies, services and products being offered to enable companies to build Internet-based computing and communications infrastructures. With the May changes, reporting will be presented in three basic news sections: News and Analysis; e-Biz Strategies; and Infrastructure.
