Pippa Middleton to Write Party Planning Book
Posted on October 30, 2011
Pippa Middleton is said to be close to signing a book deal with HarperCollins to write a party how to book. Miss Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, edits a blog about party planning for Party Pieces, the party planning company her family founded.
The Telegraph reports that Pippa could make more than one million pounds sterling from the deal, if international rights and spinoff projects are included. A publishing source says that Pippa is very serious about the project and takes all the meetings herself. She is said to be a good writer, but will be offered the services of an experienced ghostwriter, according to the Sunday Times.
The book will include tips for planning adult and children's parties, and will cover etiquette, invitations, food and entertainment. No doubt any such project would need the tacit approval of the palace. But this project seems like a perfect fit for someone who has been in the party planning business for so many years.
Update: A photograph of Pippa's book, Celebrate, has been added above.
