PoliticalWag.com Launches Online Town Hall

Posted on January 10, 2000

PoliticalWag.com has announced the launch of its website. The site is an online town hall where citizens can debate and discuss political issues.

"Politics in America has been hijacked by the professionals -- the pundits, pollsters and spinners -- and PoliticalWag.com is returning it to regular people," said Will Richmond, PoliticalWag.com's founder and CEO. "Much has been said about citizens becoming disengaged from politics, especially during this critical primary season. Now, people have a home where they can delve into their real concerns about issues around the corner or around the world."

PoliticalWag.com's vision is to reinvigorate the political process by enabling any person to join its free, nonpartisan community, which features topical online discussions of hot political issues. Topics are generated by PoliticalWag.com participants and current political events, and also are prompted by the site's editorial cartoons and columns. PoliticalWag.com moderators will help guide discussions by personally engaging members and keeping them current on developments in the political world.

"PoliticalWag.com is the place for substantive and controversial political discussion, without anarchy," Richmond said. "In our view, everyone is a "wag" whose opinion should be heard. Politics is ultimately about people and personal relationships. We have made discussing politics a simple and fun experience, in time for the first election of the new millennium."

Update: The PoliticalWag site is no longer live.
