PowersGolf.com to Launch in Spring

Posted on January 3, 2000

PowersGolf.com, a new golfing website, will deliver information and services to golfers about golf courses around the world. The site is being built now, said President and CEO Bill Anderson, and the first look at PowersGolf.com is expected at the annual PGA Show in February. PowersGolf.com is the interactive version of the Powers Golf guides, an eight-year-old series of books providing information about participating golf courses to golfers.

Golfers will be able access information about public courses, allowing them to view fees, policies, news, directions -- and to reserve tee times, lessons and purchase merchandise from the pro shop. Each participating course will get a free home page, giving each the capability to make reservations, offer coupons and communicate with vendors and clients.

``We're proud to be able to offer this service to our fellow golf-lovers,'' said Anderson. ``PowersGolf.com uses the interactive technology of the Internet to make business easier for golf pros, and relaxation easier for players.''
