President Clinton to Write Preface for Spy Novel

Posted on March 27, 2011

Thomas Caplan, a mystery author and a founder of the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, will get an assist from a former president on his next novel. The Daily Mail reports that former President Bill Clinton will write the preface for Caplan's next novel, The Spy Who Jumped Off the Screen. President Clinton and Thomas Caplan were roommates in college at Georgetown University.

The novel will be published by Viking in early 2012. The novel is about a "movie star and former intelligence officer Ty Hunter and his race to keep nuclear warheads out of the wrong hands."

It will be interesting to see what President Clinton has to add to the story.
