Primedia Acquires Home Guide Companies

William F. Reilly, chairman and chief executive officer of PriMedia Inc. announced that PriMedia's HPC Publications has acquiired a group of six new home guide companies in Southern California; Northern California; Denver; Phoenix; Dallas; Tampa Bay; and Columbus, Ohio.

"PriMedia's HPC Publications is already the leader of the apartment guide market, and this acquisition makes us the leader in new home guides as well," said Reilly. "The success of the apartment guides and new home guides is due to the extraordinary results which advertisers get from these user-friendly publications."

HPC Publications specializes in advertiser-sponsored targeted media in the areas of renting and home buying, as well as the distribution of free publications. With the acquisition of this group of new home guides, HPC Publications now offers home buying guides in the markets of Philadelphia, New Jersey, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, N.C.; Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Denver; Phoenix; Dallas; Southern California; Northern California and Tampa, Fla.
