Rapid Growth for Wordpress.com and Tumblr

Royal Pingdom reports that Wordpress.com is very close to reaching 20 million blogs hosted. They also note that Tumblr is also closing in on the 20 million mark. Tumblr has grown rapidly in the last six months. They have added over 7 million Tumblrs in the past five months. Both companies are growing very quickly. Tumblr's growth is interesting. The company could actually be a threat to Facebook than Wordpress. A lot of companies have been adding Tumblr accounts in addition to their Facebook pages. Facebook could lose some traffic to Tumblr because of this.
