Posted on July 10, 2006

Reader's Digest is launching a new magazine called Dazzling Delightful Delicious. The magazine is based on an Australian title called Delicious. Media Life reports that the magazine will focus on upscale readers and that the launch issue includes tips from Jamie Oliver. Content from the Aussie Delicious magazine is also used.

Publisher Christine Guilfoyle tells Media Life, "How it specifically differentiates itself from the marketplace is the high-quality graphics and the fun that it brings to the different dishes. It's the combination of recipes from world-renowned chefs that are very easy, but sophisticated and beautiful, and the kinds of [cooking] techniques that all of us would like to incorporate into our repertoires."

The L.A. Daily News says the June issue includes 65 recipes including "Jamie Oliver's That Watermelon Salad and Bill Granger's Crab & Lemon Risotto." The newsstand price is $3.99. The magazine has a test circulation of 600,000.
