Chelsea Peretti Has the Funniest Booksigning Ever

Posted on November 12, 2014

We love comedian Chelsea V. Peretti -- she is just hilarious on one of our favorite sitcoms, Brooklyn Nine-Nine in which she plays Gina Linetti, the administrative assistant to Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher). From her witty one liners to her interplay with co-workers Detective Jake Perralta (Andy Samberg) and Detective Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), she's always funny.

Chelsea just had a special on Netflix, and announced a booksigning to celebrate. No, she doesn't have a book out, she just wanted to sign some books. She told fans to bring whatever books they had on hand and she would dutifully signed them. She tweeted, "I'm prob gonna do a book signing after the show. Bring any book that's important to U. I haven't written one."

The signing was a success. Chelsea signed Bossypants by Tina Fey, calling Tina "an inspiration." She also signed one fan's copy of Sister Outsider by feminist poet Audre Lorde and and Hedge Funds for Dummies in which she wrote, "Dad, stop trying to change me, I'm an artist. Love, Chelsea."

We think she actually needs to write a book of her own. We'd certainly read it.
