Report: Bank Robbers Left Incriminating Trail of Facebook Posts

Posted on April 23, 2011

Suspects in a bank robbery were reportedly busted because of entries they made on Facebook. The Houston Chronicle says the alleged bank robbers left an "incriminating trail of Facebook posts." The posts included entries like, "IM RICH" and "WIPE MY TEETH WITH HUNDREDS."

The Houston Chronicle says Richard Kuniansky, an attorney for one of the Facebook using bank robbers, said, "I've always heard that you shouldn't post pictures of yourself on Facebook smoking pot or drinking because employers are now looking at Facebook pages. But I never knew there should be a warning not to post about a bank robbery that's been committed."

Not posting Facebook updates about a bank robbery you just committed is advice that should go without saying.
