Rising Tide Studios Announces the Launch of DigitalMusicWeekly.com

Rising Tide Studios (RTS) has announced the launch of DigitalMusicWeekly, a new online news source that will chronicle the developing digital music industry. DigitalMusicWeekly will be emailed, free of charge, to subscribers, and published on the website every Friday. The newsletter, which has over 2000 subsscribers, published its first issue on March 31.

The premiere issue of DigitalMusicWeekly (DM Weekly) profiles EMusic.com and addresses the company's three-pronged model aimed at hard-to-sell recordings. It also features Paul McCartney's publishing company suing MP3, and includes a chart of who's suing whom in the music business. It also tracks this week's stock market winners and losers.

``My main passion in life has always been music and performance,'' said Mark Rinzel, editor-in-chief of DM Weekly. ``I'm also a musician who has worked the Lower East Side gig-grind for the past two and a half years, so I take a personal interest in finding out what turns the music business is taking.''

RTS publishes two print magazines: Silicon Alley Reporter and Digital Coast Reporter, and produces four online publications: Silicon Alley Daily, Digital Coast Weekly, iHealthcare Weekly, and Digital Music Weekly. RTS also produces annual conferences.
