Rivals.com to Launch Team Sports and Specialty Channel Network

Rivals.com, Inc. has announced the launch of its sports network with more than 350 team sports and specialty channel websites. Rivals.com has also announced that the company and News America Digital Publishing, producer of FOX Sports Online, have signed a letter of intent for a broad strategic alliance with Rivals.com, including an equity investment in the company.

Heckman, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Rivals.com. "With only one click, sports fans can immerse themselves in their team site and take control of our exclusive and powerful Rivals.com Database, which includes statistics plus on-demand digital video of game highlights and interviews of more than 3,000 players and counting."

Based in Seattle and formed in September of 1998, Rivals.com's network includes 350 sports team and specialty websites, with more than 700 writers who deliver team and player coverage. Rivals.com also publishes more than 30 print publications dedicated to college sports fans.
