The Caldecott Medal
In honor of the nineteenth-century illustrator Randolph J. Caldecott, the Caldecott Medal has been awarded annually since 1938 under the supervision of the Association for Library Service to Children of the America Library Association to the illustrator of the most distinguished picture book for children published during the preceding year.Award Winners by Year
