Rule 660 Communications, Inc. and Hearst Magazines have announced the creation of the R660 magazine, set to launch in November 2000. R660 aims to merge action sports with the cultural, music and fashion elements of young men's lifestyle magazines, while featuring unique editorials, original content and photography.
R660 will have an estimated initial circulation 750,000 copies, and will have multiple channels of distribution, including newsstands, concerts and sporting events, retail outlets and the U.S. Mail. Content for the magazine will be managed by Michael Hurley, Director of Custom Marketing for Hearst Magazines. ``R660 reflects the lifestyle of millions of young Americans,'' said Hurley. ``It will be the magazine to read for young people interested in action sports, its culture and lifestyle.''
``R660 provides Rule 660 Communications with a unique platform to integrate our television, Internet and other media properties'' commented Paul Berger, Rule 660 Communications' CEO. ``R660 will be fully integrated with our media properties and will carry in-depth articles about stories featured on the television show and Team R660 members.''
Rule 660 Communications, Inc. is developing an action sports media network targeting Generation Y. Premiering in November, the network will include the R660 magazine, an R660 television show, Team R660, multiple websites, and live sports and music events. R660 communications is headquartered in New York City.
