Posted on May 14, 2011

Actor Ryan O'Neal will share the full story of his turbulent but emotionally powerful relationship with actress Farrah Fawcett in a memoir to be published by Crown Archetype in spring 2012. The book has been tentatively titled, Past Imperfect. It will include never-before-seen photographs and documents.

Crown says O'Neal will candidly describe his and Farrah Fawcett's roller coaster of love and loss, from their first meeting in 1979 until her death in June 2009. Some of the topics discussed will include "the reluctance of Fawcett's former husband to leave; the pressures of their respective careers, with hers ascending and his in decline; role of drugs in his life; their inevitable break-up; their emotional reunion after Ryan was diagnosed with leukemia; the devastating news of Farrah's own struggle with cancer; and their heartbreaking last days together."

O'Neal will also discuss his eventful life and career in Hollywood, including his relationship with his daughter Tatum O'Neal.

Update: The name of the book is Both of Us: My Life with Farrah. It is available now on Amazon.com.
