Samuel L. Jackson Lost His Avengers Script

Posted on May 2, 2011

Samuel L. Jackson appears to have lost his copy of The Avengers screenplay, which was written by Joss Whedon. Whedon, who is also directing the film, is probably not very happy with Nick Fury/aka/Samuel L. Jackson right now. Some super spy he turned out to be. Marvel Studios just announced the start of production on the film last week.

Obsessed With Film reports that it was sent an email from an anonymous source offering to sell the screenplay. Obsessed With Film asked for visual clarification that the script was real and were sent photos of two pages from the screenplay that are watermarked with Samuel L. Jackson's name. You can see the photos here.

It is a crime to sell or purchase the script, so anyone that pays for it will be in big trouble. So far, no one has bought it, but it's early days yet. We can't wait to see what Joss has done with the film, and hope they track the miscreant down. Of course, he or she could have a change of heart and turn it into Marvel, hoping for a nice reward. But really, isn't doing the right thing reward enough?
