Posted on March 23, 2012

Scholastic will publish a children's book about New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin: Rising Star is geared to kids ages 8 and up. The book, written by James Buckley, Jr., chronicles Lin's rise from humble beginnings to his superstar status that has generated massive media attention and coined catch phrases like "linsanity" and "lincredible." The book will be published on April 1st.

The inspirational book traces Lin's years of hard work and practice - from his high school in Palo Alto, California, to his college hoop days at Harvard, to bouncing around the NBA, and finally his astounding performances with the New York Knicks.

Scholastic publisher Debra Dorfman says, "Jeremy Lin's story is that feel-good sports story that is surprising and uplifting. His hard work, determination, and perseverance serve as an inspiration to sports fans of all ages. Jeremy Lin is a role model and we look forward to publishing this."
