Scribner to Publish Mark Kelly and Gabrielle Giffords Memoir

Scriber has announced it will publish the memoir of Astronaut Mark Kelly and Congresswoman Gabrielle ("Gabby") Giffords. Scribner says the untitled memoir will be a deeply personal account of Mark Kelly's and Gabrielle Giffords' lives together. The memoir will cover the tragic shooting in Arizona which killed six people and gravely wounded Congresswoman Giffords. It will also tell the story of their courtship and careers.

Mark Kelly said in a statement, "Gabby and I are forever grateful for the heartfelt support we've received over these many months. We are looking forward to sharing our story."

The memoir will be edited by at Scribner by Susan Moldow, executive vice president and publisher, and Nan Graham, senior vice president and editor and chief. Jeffrey Zaslow, author and Wall Street Journal columnist, will collaborate with Giffords and Kelly on the book. A portion of the authors' net proceeds will go to charity in Tucson and Arizona. A publication date has not been set.
