Seth MacFarlane Pokes Fun at Screenwriters During Oscar Nominee Announcements

Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone announced the Oscar nominations early this morning. MacFarlane, who is hosting the Oscars this year, he gave us a taste of his Oscar hosting style by poking fun at writers, directors and even producer Harvey Weinstein.

For example, when announcing the nominees for Best Adapted Screenplay, he joked, "These are adapted screenplays, keep in mind. So that means the writers just basically copied stuff from Microsoft Word pasted it into Final Draft."

That one was pretty funny, especially if you're a novelist and not a screenwriter. After announcing the Best Director nominees he noted, "These are five people who are the best at sitting in a chair watching other people make a movie." He is nominated for writing the lyrics to the original song for his hit movie Ted. Take a look:
