Simon Cowell issued an apology to his family and his famous friends for the revelations in his tell-all biography.

The Telegraph reports that Simon showed at the book launch party and said, "I want to publicly apologize to anybody I embarrassed because I have tried to keep my private life quiet a bit, and I do have to apologize to certain people and certain members of my family. That's the score."

The book, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell was written by author Tom Bower with Cowell's cooperation. In the book Simon reveals he had an affair with Danni Minogue, that he despises Jennifer Lopez (although he's never met her), he considered having an affair with Paula Abdul but did not out of worry over the morning after drama, and that he was obsessed with Cheryl Cole.

Excerpts have been released in the British press and it really hit the fan after some of the bombshell revelations. Simon said, "I will be honest with you, I spent last week under a pillow in my bedroom. Newspapers were literally banned for a week. I always know how bad things are when my head of TV sends me these really sweet messages saying 'Are you OK', which means it's really bad."

The book is available now in the U.S. at Amazon.com and bookstores everywhere.
