Posted on June 10, 1999

SoftBook Press, Inc. has announced that it will offer TimesFax from The New York Times and a daily digest of top news highlights from The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition, including business news, and entertainment and arts articles, in electronic book format for the SoftBook Reader.

"These two well known, respected periodicals make an important contribution to our overall content offering," said James Sachs, CEO and chairman of SoftBook Press. "The page-sized screen of the SoftBook Reader makes it ideal for reading newspapers. Now people can download their daily paper -- or even multiple newspapers -- onto their SoftBook Reader, which can then be easily read on the train, plane or office."
