Stephen Colbert Talks to Author Maurice Sendak

Posted on January 25, 2012

Stephen Colbert sat down for an interesting conversation with Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are. Sendak reaffirmed that he does not think he writes children's books. Sendak also said book signings are "dreadful."

Sendak does not like being asked about writing a sequel to Where the Wild Things Are, so, of course, Colbert asked him about it. Colbert suggested Vin Diesel should be in the sequel. Colbert also edited a copy of Sendak's often banned book, In the Night Kitchen. Note: You can find part 2 of the interview here on the Comedy Central's Colbert Report channel.
