T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) has won the 2013 Gold Quill Award for its art book, The Bridge at Hoover Dam (2011, Nazraeli Press). The book is about the design, engineering and construction of the Hoover Dam Bypass/Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. IABC's annual Gold Quill Awards program honors the best in global business communications.

The 1,900-ft. long bridge is located downstream from the Hoover Dam. It is anchored in the walls of the Black Rock Canyon and crosses 890 feet above the Colorado River. It is the first concrete-steel composite arch bridge built in the United States. It is also the second-highest bridge of any kind in the United States. It features the tallest segmental concrete columns of any bridge in the world.

Maribel Castillo, TYLI Associate Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications, said in a statement, "The Bridge at Hoover Dam commemorates the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge, the highest and longest concrete arch bridge in the western hemisphere. As lead design engineering firm, TYLI recognized an opportunity to tell the story behind the landmark span using a unique and elegant communications tool."
